EVA1  – The Camera for Professionals

Breathing new life into movie making

5.7K Super 35mm Sensor

The EVA1 is equipped with a 5.7K Super 35mm Sensor that yields a higher resolving image when down sampled to 4K, UHD, 2K, and even 720p. This results in a camera that can switch from a standard sensitivity to a high sensitivity without an increase in noise or other artifacts. The EVA1 will include Dual Native ISO*.

Dual Native ISO

Utilizing a process that allows the sensor to be read in a fundamentally different way, Dual Native ISO extracts more information from the sensor without degrading the image. This results in the EVA1 being a camera that can switch from a standard sensitivity to a high sensitivity with minimal, if any, impact by way of image artifacting.

V-Log and V-Gamut Capture

Containing V-Log/V-Gamut capture to deliver high dynamic range and broad colors. V-Log has log curve characteristics that some would say are reminiscent of negative film and V-Gamut delivers a color space even larger than film. This results in a camera that can switch from a standard sensitivity to a high sensitivity without an increase in noise or other artifacts while producing a very organic looking image similar to film.

First official EVA1 footage

“I actually had a meeting with the Varicam development team in January when they asked me what I was looking for in a camera, and more or less it is the EVA-1.”

“We climbed a mountain 17x with the EVA1 and I can easily say that it was the best camera to be by our side at every summit."
